kumho v70 (700) hard or medium compound for fast road use???

hi guys, am just wondering if any of you have experience with medium and hard compounds regards longevity and grip for road use?? Looking at whats available it seems the kumho v70 is the best for the money... am thinking the hard compound would last longer and have more than enough grip for road use??

im only asking as im going to use 13" 8" wheels so need 235/45 tyres!!
