Ordered a new car just over a week ago and over the weekend decided that there was one more option I wanted to add (electric folding door mirrors), so emailed the dealer on Sunday. He got back to me today to say that the order had been confirmed and couldn't be changed. He then said something about cancelling the order but losing the build slot.

As long as there is no financial penalty I am happy to delay until the next build slot - does anyone know what the situation normally is changing an order once it has been confirmed?

Also is it possible to retrofit the folding mirrors?

Thanks

All depends on what car, what is the lead time and popularity of the vehicle.

To many variables Chap.

This isn't really gaining traction, not very exciting I know! Is it true that once the order is confirmed "that's it"?

Normally at point of order, you decide on a spec.

You should then get a call from dealer prior to build to confirm spec.

I think the sales guy is being a PITA.
