I am currently considering parking her daily drive on the side of the road, opening the door and starting a shoe shop. It is full of shoes, I counted 8 pairs earlier. Is this just something my wife does or is it a popular thing to do?

You're lucky it's only shoes. The OH uses the backseat of her car as a mobile office...paperwork everywhere!

This is a good thing. Just remember that for men, cars are the equivalent of shoes...you have to have different ones for different occasions.

I'm very glad it isn't paper it has to be said. It is just annoying as every time I try and go anywhere in the car, I have to empty it out!

OH's car must have two scarfs, two pairs of gloves, two pairs of shoes, two coats, a handbag of useless crud and 100 items of refuse in it at all times. Apparently it's the law for women to fill there cars with crap.

every female i know does it, the old dear had 12 pairs of shoes and 3 coats in the other day when i took it to the car wash, got a lift from a mate the other day and her car was filled with scarfs, shoes, bags and alsorts. admit it tho its not just a woman thing, all my sixth form folders are on my backseats (never have to pack a bag then just take em as you need em) and i keep my laptop under my coat on the passanger seat most of the time during the day. no shoes tho, because unlike the female of the species men can infact drive in any pair of shoes their wearing.

I used to find several pairs in the Jag, then after many a quiet word it still occurred, so my beloved would get upset when I emptied the feckin lot on the lawn. I st you not she has more fking shoes than Immelda fking Marcos. Then our offspring would do the same...even as a passenger, so she got the same.

However this would backfire as wifebeast and evil offspring would sortie down to shops and replace threefold banghead

Moral....have yer own car and simply refuse any dealings with hers.

Shoes = 0
Items of clothing = 0
Bags = 0

Am I missing a 'x' chromosome or something?

I do however have a compressor, oil, spare bulbs, a travel rug, half a tonne of Lego, a ceramic mushroom, 2 cans of spray paint and a pair of size 1 wellies

I went out with a girl who's Z4 had so many pairs of expensive shoes kicking around inside it that their collective purchase cost probably exceeded the value of my car! Not that I minded 'cause... 1: she loved driving everywhere so I got to drink every time we went out, and 2: she was fit hehe

Two pairs or inline skates in ours...

Sometimes some wellies too. She does keep a pair of warm socks in there when the weather is chilly. The rules are that whoever is driving gets to choose the heating. When I drive, she puts the warm socks and two coats on. When she drives, I strip to my pants.

Nope, no shoes in either of our cars. Nor paperwork - WTF is someone thinking living business documents in a car where they can be nicked?

I must be missing something. There is a bag of stuff to be dropped at the charity shop This weekend in my boot. A case of CDs in my glove box.

That's it.

Bought a little car for OH's daughter, the owner had died of cancer and it was her partner selling it.

As we were getting into it, I opened the boot and a pair of her shoes were sitting there.

Felt awful having to go back with them, but wasn't sure what else to do................

Yes unfortunatly in her car. I just clear it all into the boot each time i use it and then love her face when a couple of weeks later she goes to put something in the boot and it's already full lol.

Glad it's not me...

My wife is a clean freak, in the house everything has it's place, the kitchen floor is washed multiple times a week etc. It's looking a little cluttered since our little one came along but it's clean and tidy most of the time.

The car on the other hand, I can accept that the outside will get dirty and I don't mind washing it for her on a regular basis but the interior seems to suffer from the same "woman" issue that other posters are experiencing...

  • Filthy windows that you can hardly see out of
  • Parking tickets on the floor/ash tray/drinks holder
  • Thick layer of dust over the dashboard
  • Mud on the kick plates
  • Coat/Scarf/Jumper etc on the back seat
Guess what this weekends job is going to be!
