Hi, I have broken the indicator stack (due to club hands) on a new shape corsa and need to glue it back. I have tried super strong super glue but doesn't work, I think because of the type of plastic.

Can somebody recommend a strong cement/glue so I can get this sorted before people think I am being a dick by not indicating...

thanks super PH

Why don't you just buy a new indicator stalk? They can't be that expensive, surely?

I pride myself in being the only BMW owner in Essex who always indicates and in good time too. laugh

It's the best thing about buying an old beamer, you know the indicator stalk's not going to have been used much.

Enough meat on each side of break to use gaffa (aka, tank or duct) tape?
Perhaps with a splint of some sort bridging the break.

Epoxy resin will do it, if there is a stub left just use insulation tape to make a "bandage". Why are you so bothered? No fker in this country seems to use them anyway, the ignorant s.

araldite should do the trick. i used to have glue used to hold helicopter parts together (my dad owns an aerospace engineering firm) but i ran out of it, otherwise i'd have posted you some. the stuff hardens like f*cking rock, takes 48hours to set though which would be an issue!

i would say araldite, it's not amazing, but better than super glue.

If you can drill a hole in both ends, then insert a metal rod (maybe the drill bit if can drill out enough) before glueing back together it'll be strong enough.

Another vote for epoxy. Perhaps beef it up with some coathanger wire.
