how are they doing it? for instance, an 09 plate could be LR09, a 59 (half way through 2009) would be LR59, how about 2010? LR010 and LR510? because LR10 wouldn't work, how would you get another for half way into the year?

I haven't seen one today, but last Wednesday i saw a white BMW X6 with a '10' plate sitting outside a main dealer. Seemed too early to me...

always add 50 onto the plate

so 01 became 51
02 became 52
03 became 53
etc etc

Lots of people seem to struggle with adding 1 to 09 and 59... I don't get why people think "xx10 xxx" and "xx60 xxx" is a problem?

I saw LR10 REG - a new RR Sport parked on a big rock outside a Land Rover garage on Saturday night.

I don't think it was a real plate though - a bit like those MY10 CAR ones you seen in ads in the local paper.
