I can't believe it. There goes all our opportunities for payback on the youth of tomorrow.

It was one of the ways I was going to spend the later years in life. Others included driving even slower by rivers to look at the ducks and parking inconsiderately on country lanes for my packed lunch.

I’ll have to resort to making sure there is a ten mile gap in traffic before I emerge from a junction especially at rush hour.

I listened to an interview on the radio with this woman. According to police she was on the outside lane of the motorway doing 20mph and causing a huge queue of traffic, they also had their lights on following her, presumably to get her to pull over, for a mile and a half. She didnt notice them !!!!

Her side of the argument was that she was not doing 20mph but was actually doing 30mph, WHICH AINT MUCH BETTER!!!!

The Dj interviewing her asked her if she speeds and she says no shes not a speedster, the dj then said ok well your a safe driver then !!!! FFS!!!

She also said she ended up in the outside lane of the motorway because some car cut her causing her to swerve into outside lane, so she slowed down crawling speed to try and get back into inside lane... I thought it would be easier to merge in if she was actually doing teh same speed as cars on her inside.

On the show someone actually texted in saying she should sue the police, and good on her for doing 20mph on the motorway !!!

She also said she was a safe driver because she never speeds and doesnt go above 65mph and has never had any accidents. I wonder how many she has caused though.....

Although good to see some common sense prevail, if it had been me I would have taken the old dears licence away

Cheers

Reading the Stuart Stein's posting on this thread, this lady should have surrendered her licence back to DVLA. She is clearly incapable of driving and should be taken off of the roads to protect herself and others.

Backs up an age old arguement on current speed limits, surely much safer to have a minumum limit on many roads?
