Just opened my birthday presents (early) from my girlfriend and one of the things she bought me was a voucher for a 'supercar double' experience with 6th gear!

I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement!!

I have the choice of; Gallardo, Ferrari 360, AMV8, Ariel Atom, and Audi R8.

I'm already going to drive the Gallardo for definite.

What would be your choice of the rest of the contenders?

I've also done this experience albeit with a GTR and an Exige.

I'd choose the Atom every time, it'll probably offer more thrills than the supercars.

RE the Gallardo.

The sound them things made when they were being driven around the track - really was something else..

I'd go for the Lambo and the Atom for the difference in the type of car. Nice present BTW. Enjoy.

Word of advice.

These things can be a disappointment as the cars are expensive and often curtail your experience to be "on the safe side"

If this turns out to be the case, don't mention it to your girlfriend, not even like conversation. She'll feel as though she has done wrong and that would suck for suck a generous gift (best present I ever got from a girl was a CD!)

It would be the AMV8 for me as the other car.

As above, what a superb pressie from your OH. Marry that one.

Not so sure about that, I did the Ferrari 360 'Thrill' (ooh er) around Silverstone last year, if anything the guy pushed me far harder than I probably would have gone if left to my own devices - it was, well, thrilling!

To answer initial question I'd do Lambo & Atom

these are brilliant- my missus bought me one for my 30th- drove a 430, gallardo, Atom and a Focus RS.

The one i was most disappointed in was the lambo- quick, but just didn't have the aural pleasure, not a great interior. Out of that lot i'd go for 360 and R8.

Thanks for the replies.

Apparently 6th gear let you push the cars a bit more so we'll see!

6th gears run by a couple of PHers so I'm sure they'll look after you! I'd also vote for the combo of Gallardo and Atom, the others are a little too similar.

+1 with the Original... be careful! I did Gallardo and 430 followed by pax lap in Scoob wrx and R8.

Guy let me drive the Gallardo balls out but the guy with the 430 keep telling me to change up at 5-6k rpm. Was a huge dissappointment. I mentioned this to the GF and i got the 'oh.. well did you not enjoy it, did i get you the wrong thing, i spent loads of money on it' etc etc... Took me ages to explain that it was still epic... just a let down after the Gallardo guy letting me flat shift it. The noise...was simply epic.

I did one of these as well. FWIW, I think the Gallardo was wooden to drive compared to the 360. It was a lot faster in a straight line, but the 4wd kills it for me.

Were it me, I'd go for the Fez and the Atom.

6th Gear are a good bunch. I have had a couple of days off them now for gift to relatives including my dad in the LP640.

Need to book another one fairly soon for my GF's dads 60th.

Can't believe that range of cars.

No Reliant Scimitar?
No 330d?
No Pug 207 Gti?

Call themselves a "sportscar experience"!??
