I'd not seen it before.

And it's suitable for the proof reading thread in the Lounge too!

You can maybe excuse poor proof reading because it's in Welsh. But for several weeks a village in Shetland had a new road sign which said:

SHOP
PEIR

It was finally corrected to "PIER" after the local rag published a photo which some evil sod sent in to them biglaugh

It just proves that nobody actually speaks Welsh and having all their signs in two languages is a total waste of our fking money.

Yep.
Absolutely. I don't see the sense in putting signs in Welsh when that country's first language (by a breezy margin) is English. If you can't read the sign in English, get out of the fking car and get back to school.

Indeed, what a load of rubbish that they even consider putting it in Welsh at all, next they'll be trying to get the English removed, along the lines of the French Canadians...

hehe there was a goody at the local safari park. a sign before the lion enclosure in several languages, telling you to keep windows and doors closed and stay in the car if it breaks down...

although the urdu version said leave windows and doors open and get out of the car if you break down...

Lions looked happy enough...

It doesn't really matter what it says, they all speak English anyway.
