Hiring flat bed truck to load car into container?

Might be a silly question, but can they not put the container on the ground, and you drive the cars in, then strap them down?
I thought that but they also seem to load the cars right onto the container when it's on the lorry.I'd guess that once 2 cars are in the container, it'll be quite a job to lift it on to a lorry?

Also can you take the cars t the container instead of taking the container to the cars
We export cars all the time (so far this year 4 to Hong Kong, 2 to Thailand, 1 to Singapore, 1 to New Zealand, 2 to Germany) and always load the cars into their containers on the level, with a lot of the stuff we're selling the front lips are too low to get up any kind of ramp anyway.
