Cosworth-Impreza To Get 400bhp

STi CS400 75-model special on sale in June

The new Cosworth-tuned Subaru Impreza will cover the 0-62mph in an internal-organ-rearranging 3.7secs when it officially goes on sale in June, Subaru has revealed.

The new car, which will be badged as the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400, will deliver 395bhp at 5750rpm, allowing it to shave 1.5secs from the standard 296bhp STi's sprint to 62mph. Helping to calm things down again will be a bespoke AP Racing-designed brake set-up, with front discs measuring 355mm and six-piston callipers.

Subaru is keeping tight-lipped about any further details of the CS400, but does say that "A wide range of further upgrades have been made to the suspension, exhaust and to the donor Impreza's exterior and interior styling".

The CS400 production run will be limited to 75 cars, and full details of pricing and the car's spec (as well as some pics, we hope) will be revealed closer to the on-sale date, says Subaru.

THat was my first thought, and then I remembered the Evo fq400 which is £50k and assume it is more likely to be along those lines with only 75 being produced.
At £40k that would be a hugely desirable car.

As much as I think the new Scooby looks pretty damn awful, I reckon this Cosworth version is going to be mega. But will be a as good as the Mk2 T25, which also had a bunch of Cosworth developed parts didn't it?

0 to burnt out clutch in 3.7 seconds laugh

Seriously, that will be quick. Seems 400bhp is fast becoming the norm.
