Final Editions Mark The End Of Viper Production

Run-out special for last 50 Vipers. Was it inevitable?

The last 50 Viper SRT10s will all get special 'Final Edition' packages when they roll off Dodge's production line this summer.

The body of Final Edition Vipers will be painted in 'Graphite Clear Coat', with a black stripe down the centre line of the car, flanked by thin red stripes.

Coupe and hardcore ACR versions (the final Edition is available for all three Vipers) will get black windscreen surrounds, while all models get side sill badges, a dash plaque, and a red-and-black themed interior.

The 20 coupes and 18 roadsters will be fitted with six-spoke anthracite alloys, while the 12 ACRs will get black five-spoke 'Sidewinder' wheels.

I'm not that into american cars, but I will always have a soft spot for the viper, even if it's because of that corny tv show they ran ("Viper")

cry

I'm very sad to see this car go.

I have to agree. Although I'm not really a fan of American cars in general, the Viper will be greatly missed.

Unless things have changed recently, it's only a hiatus, a new Viper will be revealed in 2012 (I think that's right - Maybe a 2012 model, so next summer in effect).

Subtle colour - not sure it really suits a Viper smile

No idea when you were 17, but the last model Viper was a lot different to the original one - I always had a soft spot for the Mk1 (so to speak), but the later car is supposed to be better (I can't compare personally).

not sure its the end of the Viper, unless Riggers knows something the rest of the world doesnt wink just the end of the current model...Dodge has previously produced Viper Final Editions, when the viper model changed back in 2002

not the best looking colour scheme, perhaps the photoshop pics dont do it justice
ACR spec is around $108K, this is the gen4 version, gen5 here we come !

@ Viper... yeah 3-4 is kinda the same car... :P just lil updates and facelifts smile im a big viper fan. i cant wait for the next gen. i hear they are getin tips from Ferrari... personaly i think they need to get rid of all the old men running chrysler that give the sty cars they make a go ahead... they need cars that sell like the Charger Viper 300c etc etc... not these ulgy dogs they make on the side... just make a few economical cars that work rather then the st boxs they are atm.

Except maybe one small detail...

Viper first gen: 1992.

S2000: launched in 1999 for Honda's 50th anniversary...

Wouldn't it be the other way round then? smile

They will use diesel engine to start the petrol engine - hence why its a hybrid.
