Video: E63 AMG Sideways At Brooklands
525hp, a wet track and silky skills provide a few minutes of M-B magic
Not sure how we missed this video the first time around, as it was part of the official press pack issued by Mercedes-Benz at the UK launch of the E63 in November.
We've written about the car already, of course, but it's never too late to appreciate a bit of automotive ballet like this clip filmed at the test track at M-B's Brooklands centre.
So here it is...

Good video that one.
Are there plans for an E63 AMG Coupé?
Brooklands is a wicked facility too. I was there for "Powered by Mercedes-Benz" event. Should I ever have the means to indulge in an AMG purchase, I think I'd like it to be from there.
Apparently no plans for a 63 coupe as such, but you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a Black Edition. Are there plans for an E63 AMG Coupé?

That reminded me of the p.h meet over there in ... november... awesome day, and those amg 6.3's -although 6.2 iirc- sound behond awesome, 10 times better than their american counterparts.
Loved the e63 in the showroom as well, white. Much better colour choice than the 1 in the video, and with the full carbon pack

I know AMG's are supposed to be understated but this is almost bland.
Are you blind? It could hardly be more over-stated if it went round with a big, flashing neon sign saying, "I am a vulgarian's chariot, over-styled and decorated with cheap tinsel, the volume of my four theatrically unnecssary max-power exhausts is anti-socially loud; I am the automotive equivalent of dropping litter".I prefer this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDAcMFdIA6c The last scene says it all.

So a car with lord knows how many hundreds of horsepower can hang its back out on a wet road! Big deal! I would be far more impressed if it could go round corners at speed in the wet WITHOUT hanging its back out.
That'll be leaving the traction control on then. Wouldn't be much of a video.I had a go in a C63 at Brooklands a couple of months ago, it was a very enjoyable hour. The restaurant was remarkably good too.
