riiiighty,

any one know of any decent trailer services that will trailer or take a car in a lorry cross country? and could anyone hazard a guess how much this would cost?

cheers!

I will also do it for you if you pay petrol and return flight home.

Don't trust those other two, they always crash cars. Honest.

The flight back would be a bit of problem just now.

The queue starts here :>

Now we will learn it is either a 2CV, a Suzuki Samuri/SJ110 thing or it has no windscreen...

No idea of cost but i would seriously consider driving it over providing costs (fuel ferry flight back etc) are paid. Last resort feel welcome to drop me a line.

As you're in kent, just drive to Paris and go on the Auto Train to Nice then drive along the coast to St Tropez. You can even have someone else pick the car up in Nice if you don't want to do it yourself.

That much surely not???

Train/ferry to france 100 ish quid. Fuel from france to spain 2-300 quid. A one way flight back to the uk 50-100 quid.

5 to maybe 600 quid surely.

Pooh just realised that although i am in kent i have to renew my passport so even if you wanted me to i wouldnt be able to help for a month at least.

Is it possible to put it on a train to spain?? If so that may be an option.

why would he go to Spain? confused

you'd better off looking at angloinfo.com for car transport companies (riviera section) as they are going backward and forward to the area every week and are set up for it, hence cheaper, some English companies to so no language issues

Hi "Caymanred",

Speak to Kevin or Debbie at United Couriers based in Essex. I use them so tell them that Geri told you to call. (http://www.unitedcouriers.co.uk/). Obviously tell them the type of car so you get the most appropriate vehicle to take it and to base their quote upon.

You won't get nicer people to look after your vehicle and I very much doubt you'll manage to get a more competitive quote.

All the best,

Geri.

I would try shiply.com, basically you put in the details of what needs to be moved and where (and state method).

You should then hopefully get a barrage of quotes from varying types (from man with a van/trailer to professional registered outfits).

Obviously check out the feedback and use usual vigilence.

We had a cracking quote to move some Sofa's from London at well below usual rates (which was fine and delivered as expected) and another quote (from the same chap) to remove a dining table/6 dining chairs/ 2x sideboard/China cabinet all for around £250 to the west coast of france with full transit cover. Thus £500-600 less than other quotes we had received.
