I've arrived in Glasgow to discover that the tracking must be way out on my E38 750 BMW. The f/o/s tyre is down to the canvas, and the f/n/s isn't much better. I've changed the o/s for the spare wheel, but does anyone know of a garage that can do BMW tracking (Kwik Fit can't), and fit tyres - and do a collection service - and do it today!

I know, it's a long shot, but i have an all day meeting near Glasgow airport, then need to drive down to Leeds tonight, and on to home in Berkshire tomorrow night. I'm not sure if the tyres will hold out.
Many thanks :fingerscrossed:

There's a thread posted this very week in the Scotland sub-forum recommending garages that do tracking in the Glasgow area, get yourself over there sir!

I would say to try bodytek, 24 hour garage but its in the east end, although not too far from the M74 which you will be travelling down. Its on Shettleston Road, near Forge Shopping Centre, worth a call

Hey guys, fantastic reponse!
Many, many thanks.

I did manage to get it taken in to a very local BMW dealer, then headed off to my meeting.

Sadly, when i got out of my meeting at 4, they told me that there were problems with several components of the suspension, and as a consequence were unable to do the tracking and geometry banghead Having just had a service and a thorough check over two weeks ago, i very much doubt this.

I was then left with no option but to head off to Leeds very gingerly indeed. Arrived here safely, and need to get home to Berkshire this evening - then i can hand it over to my trutsed mechanic to check it all out - again.

I wish i had spotted some of these comments earlier, i always wonder whether these main dealer have their own agenda.

Thanks to you all again for your help biggrin
