I don't mean to drive though just the paint jobs people choose to slap on them. I swear i drove 25 miles home today and never saw a car that wasn't Black, Grey, or dark blue. THis obsession with the "good resale" colour makes the road a dull and colourless place.

It's fair enough keeping your pride and joy shiney and spotless but what about those £500 bangers people have no resale valueat all and are going to get driven until they keel over and die.

Can we see a couple cars like this rolling around sometime soon?

Most are bangers when you peel away the paint / lego bricks so it would be pretty hard to reduce their value why not give people a bit of a smile

biggrin

I wouldn't go to that extreme but I've stuck a couple of non-car stickers on mine without bothering to wash it. As you say, it won't really devalue it.

Worth nothing so why not? Good for taking the dog out or rubbish to the tip and I can abandon it anywhere without the worry of it getting scraped or dinged.

Because to a car, each and every photo you have included looks godawful. They're the automotive equivalent of turning up to a black tie event wearing jeans and deck shoes because you want to make a point about not conforming.

Not quite it's more deciding to wear some godawful flashy suit because the only thing you had to wear were ripped jeans (£500 cars dont exactly look smart) biggrin

It's a dark green BMW 3 series, very unusual colour you see.

Cheers, it does turn a few heads and make people smile, which was the whole point really, but when left parked in the dark it has given me a few "damn, i'll have to get a taxi home" moments when it appears to not be there at first glance!

I agree, boring colours are just... boring. That's why I specifically looked for something a little more interesting, granted the car itself is dull, but more interesting than the dozens of others I see in silver or blue.

Here it is:

I've seen this driving through the villages in Cambridgeshire on my way to work in the morning!
