Merc Owners - get your build details here

I think this has been posted before (some time ago, as part of a longer thread) but it's well worth posting again for those that might have missed it.

The Mercedes-Benz Club Russia has a service where you can find out the build details of any post 1980 Merc. All you need to do is enter your chassis number (no e mail address, no contact details) and it's free too. I have just checked mine and it confirms what I already knew.....it is a very basic E220

Actually, it tells me that my car has was built in 1993, yet registered in June 1994. Unusual delay for a Merc of that period.

Some of the more recent cars won't be on there, and some of the Option codes can be a bit inaccurate

I found it a very valuable tool when looking for a G class. Shows up some owners!

Confirms all my details correct which is useful.

Tells me all the options which inc a limited slip diff which was an extra.......deep joy
