Couldnt find anything in search so apologies if this is a repost

Just looked on the Autotrader website and found this article http://www.autotrader.co.uk/articles/2010/04/cars/...

Is it really as serious as they are making it out to be or is it bit OTT , what do the experts think ?

A few of the cars that are unused down my street (fun cars that are used infrequently) are covered with a generous amount of dust.

I've covered up the TVR under a full car cover as it looks quite course.

Don't let it get into your engine, especially those with jet engines lol.

I'd put the car in the garage - neighbours were sunbathing over the weekend and this is them now:

Yep, a lot of the summer dust has a red tint to it as well.
Both are mostly silicates, and will scratch paint, so if there is any volcano dust settling, it's not that different to good ol' UK dust

My car has been coated by dust this week. Not saying its the ash but the same didn't happen last week.

I'll be giving it a good jetwash at the weekend before I go anywhere near it with a cloth.
