Toying with the idea of doing this, due to work I had to park up my Legnum VR4 and try and sell it, and get a Defender.
I have got a Defender now and the VR4 is still sat on my drive, mainly due to no one really wanting a low mpg high running cost jap car these days, and if they do it is usually something more mainstream.

I don't really need to sell it, I am in a position where it can essentially just sit there forever and a day till it rots away for all I care, but in a way I do kind of miss the powah, but it is still a bit of a barge.

Would it be wrong to, strip out the leather interior, stiffer springs (don't want adjustable coilovers) put a cage or loop in with some harnesses and 2 bucket seats, one or two power upgrades for more powag etc....

Use it as a weekend toy or track slag

Now the PH part of you will be seeing nothing wrong with this, but there is a big problem with the car, it has one of those stupid fking slushboxes which change gear for you, or if you want you can change gear yourself, yes the hateful tiptronic gearbox, manual conversions are around £1200 so thats out the question.

Is it worth bothering? I need to get an mot on it first, but the other part of me is saying get an MX5, but I don't need a convertible, I have a beachbuggy in the garage I need to do so that sorts the roof down motoring, but then I would have 3 cars to run.....
