2nd time lucky... From november 07 to march 09 I drove an 05 plate fabia vrs, then traded that in for a limited edition vrs in march last year. I then sold it in january to fund a trip abroad and due to the fact I needed to sell it quickly, I didnt get a good price at all, losing about 3k on what I paid. Just before I left I was driving an n reg corsa which cost 400 quid and I loved it! I didnt need to slow down for speed bumps, I didnt have to worry about people cutting me up, as they thought twice when they saw the car, and I never worried about leaving it parked overnight in newport city centre, something I would never dream of doing with my vrs. I'm thinking of continuing to drive the corsa when I get back to the uk, but I know I will probably get bored and want to buy something new and shiny again as soon as I can afford to. Or Should I just stick with a cheap little corsa? What do you guys think of driving nice cars compared to cheap runarounds?

Sell it and get a shed with a bigger engine.

I dunno, depends what kind of car you need. Maybe even get a corsa with a bigger engine?

But otherwise, why not just stick with the corsa and run it into the ground, or shift it when you do get bored.

Ideally I would like a sporty hatchback and to spend no more than 2k. When I do get bored that is. I dont fancy paying silly money for a car again for a while

306 GTI6 or Xsara VTS.

It'd very easily give a VRS a run for its money too

I was thinking of a 306 gti after hearing so much good stuff on here about them. Also considering clio 172, not sure if I could get a decent one for 2k tho? Or a civic vti?
