What tow car - £2k

Hi

I'm looking for a tow car to pull a horsebox. Budget is around £2k. Will be towing for a couple hundred miles at a time so needs to be reliable. I'm thinking about an old Land Rover Defender but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Defender or a Disco would be where my money would go!

I've got both (Defender & Disco II), and I'd much prefer towing with a Disco, certainly if it's for a couple of hundred miles.

Look for one with as much history as possible.

You don't get very much Defender at all for £2k, they hold their money at the bottom end like nothing on earth. Disco is the way to go at this price point, gets you a hell of a lot more modern a car for your money.

Range rover classic V8. Better looking often better looked after than a disco and they are less rusty tho i say less rusty but they still rust like fk haha, You'll struggle to get a defender or an earlier 90/110 for 2k. A 3.9 auto RR is a great tow motor
