Am i expecting too much?

20k budget

I looking for a new car. Started off thinking of a getting a weekend toy Z4 3.0i. Then was almost set on a 335i.

Today i drove a 330i, coupe, m-sport with red leather. I loved it, engine was a peach and the car felt well planted / balanced. Only downside was the runflats. I even liked the Auto which i think i might just go for this time.

Anyway, for 20k i would really prefer the 57-plate onwards 330i. I think that gets me the 272bhp engine?? And the ED stuff which seems to give very decent co2 for tax and insane MPG of nearly 38 which providing i get 30 from the auto, i will class that as a nice bonus.

So, 330i ED (57-plate onwards i think???) coupe, auto box, black/light silver, red leather, m-sport or SE for around 20k. Asking too much, to buy without waiting 6 months?

Get yourself a 1 series coupe instead if you can. 135 is the best bet and is described as a mini m3 by some.

The e46 series 330 and 325 were simply too heavy.
