I am in the unusual position of having breakdown cover with both the RAC and the AA.

If i was to brekdown - could i call both and just use the services of whoever turns up first? Just a thought.

Both cover's are paid for until the end of the year.

AA have let me down time after time after time - usually 4 hours plus waits and their "scout" van turning up where a flatbed is required, even after explaining to the callcentre operative why a flatbed is required and their supervisior agreeing to override it rolleyes

RAC have been good

And to the contrary, I've been with the AA for 5 years. They have been absolutely fantastic. Have always sent a flatbed when needed one (with my advise). I have also used their rental car service which is great - they gave me a car for 4 days whilst my clutch slave cylinder was sorted out. Granted it was a stty car, but it was a car that I would otherwise have been without.

Great service from my point of view. Wouldn't be without it. Got the full package - and also any car any driver which is useful.

Cheers
