I've got a scanguage so can monitor my intake temps..

On a warm day like we've been having recently, my intake temps have been around 25 degrees, but they drop to around 10 in the evening..

This seems to really effect the performance of my mk1 focus rs.. is pulls a lot harder at night..

Are NA cars affected as much?

Well air temp effects all cars really, just depends on the engine and state of tune. The cooler the air, the denser it is and so you can get more of it into the cylinders.

Very impressed with your intake temps Vince,

I had a Pro Alloy Rad on mine, and mine were rarely that low (even in the depths of winter).

Keep it below 50 and preferably below 40 when moving, and the engine will be happy smile

Mine only went that high standing in traffic in hot weather, usually 2-3oC above ambient outside temp is about right.

Yep I noticed a slight change in my ST's performance on cooler days, due to it getting cooler air into the intake and over the inter-cooler. It does affect all cars to some degree, but I imagine you will notice it more on forced induction engines than N/A engines of equivalent size.
