Gallery: Zagato TZ3 Revealed

All the pics of Zagato's Alfa 8C-based one-off racer

Zagato has taken the wraps of its Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa at the Ville D'Este Concours in Italy, and here's the official picture gallery to prove it.

We don't know any more about this evocative machine than we told you last week, but just to reprise you're looking at a lightweight aluminium body stretched over a carbon fibre/tube chassis, with running gear from the Alfa 8C Competizione - which means a 443hp V8, and a six-speed transaxle gearbox.

So what do we think?

mm What's with these "modders" fixing up already very exclusive cars (500 made)?

Can't they make something more common more interesting?

Like making a new body for a XKR/M3/...

I rather like that. Much more interesting than the 8C, if not quite as pretty in conventional terms.

8C meets Bristol Fighter meets lard (that accounts for the rear). Eccentricity and exclusivity do have appeal though!

Retro, but I do like (most) breadvans. Hope to see it in the metal to know how well it works outside of CAD and studio lighting!

Um. the only problem the 8c has seems to be under the skin. From what I've read, it isnt a great drive and doesnt handle particulary well. Its been completly forgiven these short commings because its so gorgeous.

So why change so dramatically its looks into this 'ugly duckling', when all that needs addressing is the handeling?

Seems backwards to me.

Not bad until you look at the rear view. Side view looks a bit like a Lamborghini Espada.

More like the Ferrari than the Alfa TZ or TZ2, do you think?

The front looks nicer than the 8C in my opinion. The side, not so much...

not really, a load of renderings doesn't prove anything. Surprising it looks like the TZ and TZ2 as it's the TZ3, innit?

Good point. Here are the pictures to prove it.
