For the missus, "£3k, reliable and cool"
Discussion
No i'm not punting her on, just looking for some suggestions to add to the mix.
Needs to have some practicality, small exciting engine better than big heavy cruiser, light and fun preferably so i can borrow it
Mx5 (obviously)
Porsche 944
Pug 106 Rallye (fairly reliable)
And i'm stuck. Not used to looking for cars i wouldn't normally buy for myself, so any suggestions?
Cheers,

Classic Beetle? I did suggest a mini but she reckoned she'd be "squished" if another car hit her.
Triumph 2000/2.5 PIFiat Barchetta
Suzuki Jimny or Vitara
Triumph Dolly Sprint
Morris Minor with K Series or Duratec transplant
Rover 200 Streetwise
oddball Pontiac Fiero

MGF/TF
MR2 MKI or MKIII
Lotus Eclat
Cheers for input folks.
Picked her up a very early red Mk1 Eunos 1.6. PAS and air-con (needs regassed) and is really very straight. Drives great.
Few service items to do on it, belts and wotnot but will be done this week.
Great fun throwing it round corners but stepping out the V6 into it is a bit of a shock. Safer for her though
