I want some "wind in my hair" motoring and shortlisted those 3 models at around 10k mark. All manual.

I love the idea of Z3M but the interior is so horribly dated now...
Then we have M3 E46 which looks great and has the right engine but it's not a roadster unfortunately...
And the last one - Z4 looks great IMO, has got nice interior and is the most modern of the lot. But unfortunately I can't afford the M version.

Which one would you go for? What are they like for sunday blast in the country side and traffic jams in London?

Sorry, I don't like Hondas and small engines you have to rev their nuts off to make any progress in general.

I was looking at TVRs... Are Griffiths decently fast?

Another option would be this :

I always loved the look of them. Just don't know can I live with all the shortfalls smile

Yes, properly, very fast indeed.

They weigh about 1050kg, so

4.0 = 240 bhp = 4.8s
4.3 = 285 bhp = 4.6s
5.0 = 340 bhp = 4.1s

Considerably faster than the other cars in your list

Not sure that's a particularly good example, but yes i know what you mean. They are old cars now.
