Now i currently own a very exciting ford focus TDCI rolleyes and if im honest it does do everything i want very well, but its developing a few faults, which are mainly ignore-able, but they all annoy me slightly

Now i've been reading recently about peoples various success in bangernomics and it got me curious, so off I go to the AT website, set the price to about 1k and see what i can find, when i come across this beauty

Now this seems like an absolute bargain and all the other BMW's in this range have mega mileage, which i know isn't really a problem with these cars, but if i could find a car with a lower mileage i would take it

It does seem to good to be true

Well you won't be going anywhere fast in it. I'd be looking at the 6-cylinder models at least.

well im only 22 and will admit my last 2 years of driving haven't been trouble free, so at the moment insurance will be a problem until I can get some NCD under my belt.

It's a 1.6 as well, there's nothing redeemable about it.

Good luck with that one, I am 22 with 4 years ncd and no points, and I discounted an E30 on the grounds it would be to expensive to insure vs what I would gain or lose.

As for the other comment, I would take the E30 over an E-Type any day, never quite sure why the E-Type gets so much hype for being a pretty car, I never give it a second glance, rarely even a first glance.

I hadn't really done much research into it, was just the usual excitement of finding a bargain, but after looking around i can't really find insurance quotes that justify the bargain, so for now it looks like i will be sticking with the Focus, won't stop me looking about though wink
