My girlfriend is after her first car. Budget is 4k tops. In her words she wants a car that is "cute and small with a boxy shape, Economical but fun, and not uncool." Ive already determined she likes ford pumas, the new minis, mitos and she just loves fiat 500s in pink frown Just thought id ask on here for other suggestions, the more unique the better, oh, age of the car isnt too important. Sorry about grammar im on a mobile

More unique? Not possible to have stages of uniqueness I'm afraid. It either is or it isn't.

Maybe individual, rare or custom would suit the bill?

My suggestion, don't suggest anything as you'll be wrong anyway. Sorry couldn't resist, for her budget it obviously throws the 500 out of the list of possibles, but she might be able to get a MINI on that budget. Failing that Pug 107/Cit C1/Toyota Aygo should fall within budget and for a first car she could do a lot worse

Puma definitely - great great cars.

Just so happens I am about to have one for sale........

Don't dismiss the 1.4 if its her first car - still great fun.

I dont think she minds the lupos. Ive driven a 1.4 sport and it was great. Streetka would fit the bill I suppose but she doesnt like fords really, as do I

Her words, not mine

She would like an 'individual' car if possible, round our way every girl aspires to either a MINI cooper or a new beetle.

Just want to gather as many suggestions for her as possible rather than jumping into it head first and regretting it.

Smart? There will be loads of ForTwo's and cabrios for that price, you might squeeze a Roadster or ForFour. £4k and economical, yes. ForTwo's are boxy. Cute fun and not uncool depends on your (and her) definition of those things hehe

A few from PH classifieds.

I honestly never thought I would do a Google images search for "Nissan Figaro + pink" boxedin

No idea how much they go for, but I would've thought £5k should cover one

She doesn't seem to know what boxy means.

Get her that - http://www.algysautos.com/pao_homepage.html
