In an interview Nikolai Smolenski, said the car will use a Chevrolet engine to save on homologation and development costs. As he explained, "We looked at every engine available - including making our own - and decided that the Corvette was the most powerful off-the-shelf design going. Fitting it to our chassis allows us to meet all current regulations and is not too big a step.

Old news and with his track record id be amazed if it happens,although all the last remnants of the factory have been recently shipped off to germany to a proposed production facility... so who knows
