Scammers!!

Apologies if this has already been posted up...

I'm sure most of you are clued up enough to check these things for yourselves, however just a heads up...

I have a quaife gearbox for sale in the classifieds, received an email tonight with what I thought was some interest, it read like this;

Hello,i am interested in buying your Car, please get back to me with the best price if its still available.
Thanks.
Call me if you have any question on: 07045715405

I was about to reply by asking if he had misinterpreted the advert by thinking it was a car for sale, but then decided to google the senders name as it was; Dominic Lansdell (Dr), the first match was a link to this http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?...

Glad I did the search as I may have phoned him also!!

just thought he might have misunderstood the advert (although don't know how anyone could) but was going to be courteous and at least put him straight

Im sure you will be sent a cheque for £3000 pounds, then be asked to send it to Nigeria, taking out the cost of said article, shipping, then forward the rest of the money on. Yeah right... I had one similar when selling my ninja, bloke kept refering to it as a car, in poor English... I played along, got the cheque, called the police, they looked into it a got an arrest out of it...result.
