PPC Rover SD1

[fullbeem]

Just seen a Rover SD1 on a trailer followed by a PPC branded Transit van go through Fosse Park at J21 M1. Must on the way to Bruntingthorpe i'm guessing by the direction it was travelling. Vmax was the other month though.....

Probably heading up to PPC in the park. 1st of may at mallory park, its quite a beast that one, 27 litre merlin engine

I'm guessing it was this one: http://www.ppcmag.co.uk/rover-sd1-27-litre-v12.htm...

I love the way the article linked says it's a Merlin. It's not, it's a Meteor. Merlin in planes, Meteor in tanks. Muppets.

Yes, there's the small matter of a supercharger on a Merlin, or more correctly two superchargers in series on the 60, 70 & 80 series engines. Wasn't there a plan to turbocharge the Meteor in the PPC SD1?
