"The launch of a new Labour poster campaign was interrupted by a car crash close to where cabinet members were giving their speeches.

The car smashed into a bus shelter on a traffic island in Hockley, Birmingham, as Business Secretary Lord Mandelson was speaking. "

Oh dear...

Paper Said said:
The Golf's driver, unemployed Omed Rashid, 27, said he would be voting Labour next Thursday.
They asked if he was ok shortly after asking who he'd be voting for, I presume?!

(Gordo's going to do everything he can to repair the bus shelter)

Can anyone make head or tail of how a bin lorry going around the roundabout 30 feet behind the car caused him to crash a decent distance down the road?

yes

Or possibly, a product of modern day Britain where nothing is your own fault, there is always a cause which is outside your control. If you are incapable of driving down a clear straight road then you need something else to blame, and what's wrong with choosing a passing bin lorry?

Talking about the unemployed and all that.

There is a massive Lib dem poster with a shot of Cameron and the words "I will cut benafits to thoes who refuse to work". I just read it and thought "too right!" I dont think that was the reaction the Lib Dems hoped for.

It's piss poor that the Lib Dem's haven't got a proof reader for those things.

Gordon's response to the incident was short but straight to the point, "What a bigoted driver!"
