Thoughts on this cheap trackday fun car?
Discussion
Having gone down the route of building my own cars in the past (and knowing the time and extreme expense involved).. And hankering after something fun for the trackday season... What are your thoughts on this little number : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1550631.htm
??
My ideal would be something like a caterfield etc... But for that money and a little elbow greese.. Could be a lotta fun for the money.
Planning on viewing this weekend with the cash in my pocket if it's as good as it reads (3.5hour drive tho
).

I've always fancied getting a fiesta rs1800, and dropping in a 2.0l turbo, fairly easy as turbocharging a 2.0l zetec requires alot of the parts found on the 1.8l zetec, so the 'scrap' engine would feed all the extra parts needed to make the donor engine fit. Easy 200+ bhp. Not sure what money rs1800s are going for these days, but its a fairly light car, plenty of upgrade parts around and brakes can be easily upgraded using other ford parts.
Sod it, I'm convincing the missus I need a toy.
