WOLF AIR COMPRESSORS

I have been lent one of these and have found it never shuts down and regularly blows off on the safety valve. My neibour who owns it tell me that thisv happens and does not know how to adjust is.
I cannot believe this is normal, can anyone advise me

the safety valve spring is probably gone weak, has he been pulling on it to empty the tank?

mine blows off at the on/off switch valve thingy

got used to it now, but it was annoying at first

Thank to both. I think that the question was not put very clearly. the machine was a Wolf Air 1 HP machine with output set at 20 PSI output pressure. It never shuts off just blows. I was hoping for someone who has one to confirm; normallity or otherwise.
I wonder whether one can alter the high pressure setting indepently of the final 20PSI regulator.
