The future Mrs Mozza wants a new car, having changed jobs and not having a Company Car anymore.

Current financial position is that she wants to spend £10k cash on a new car, possibly an Octavia VRS (petrol) or Mazda 3 MPS.

I think that for say, £10k over 3 years on a PCP deal, she might be able to drive around in something a little more special; I know from past threads that occasionally there are some cracking deals to be had (such as in-stock BMW 6-Series) but cannot immediately find anything with Googling.

Went into the local Audi place to have a mooch and liked the look of an Audi A3 at £18k (2.0T S Line) which 'in three Year's time will be worth 10k Sir' but the PCP wasn't that good - before balloon payment we would have paid almost £18k over three Years - with a GFV of substantially less than the £10k it apparently would have been worth if I was paying cash!!

I know the budget is not huge, and at £10k VRS is probably not a bad buy if we get a good deal, but I'd be interested to know if anyone on the great PH knows of any cracking deals on PCP; subsidies/target hitters/in stock cars etc...

Budget could be stretched if needed - only requirements are Isofix and a reasonable boot in case we have the patter of tiny feet at some point in the agreement. I have a car with a larger boot for longer family trips.

I look forward to seeing what you guys might be able to come up with.

Thanks in advance!

Bear in mind that after three years of PCP you'll have nothing left. If you buy a car for £10k then you'll have a car that's worth maybe £5k. You pays your money...

I'd go for the £10k Octavia vRS - 'cause that's exactly what I've just done. biggrin

Thanks Blank, that's a fair point you make there!

How are you finding the Skoda?

Really pleased with it - appears to do everything nicely.

Plenty quick enough, reasonable MPG, good cruiser - all I needed really!
