i've heard they cost about £1k give or take for 4 cylinder engines. just a few questions really, is there any reduction in power, and what about engine noise?

thinking about getting it done, as it would pay for itself in less than 1 year.

thanks biggrin

I have recently done my 4.5l V8 Cayenne. I paid just over 2k but that was for a top notch high power 8 cylinder kit.

I was worried about any performance loss but I really struggle to notice any on a blind test. However my car is more about midrange and torque than outright power.

Like anything, don't scrimp on the install costs.

The sound is exactly the same.

BTW - we were so impressed we converted my wifes Volvo V70 estate the week after which had 130k on the clock. It cost about 1k (6 cylinder BRC kit) and the results were the same.

Well worth it in a gas guzzler or for someone who does a lot of miles.

Fancy a go in a LPG car just to try it, as its a real option for me if I choose to get rid of the diseasel.

Volvo factory done ones look like a good cruiser option.

not sure if i could bring myself to do it though. and probably won't, as i'm not looking to keep the engine in there for more than a few years anyway.

food for thought though for the future.
