From what I read, it seems we will have an economic downturn before any further recovery.

Last year, or was it the year before? this has a noticable negative effect on second hand car prices.

What's the consensus on what will happen after the election?

There was a time last year where you could buy a 997 Turbo for £55k, 993s were noticably cheaper.

I'm in the market for a car, but is it worth waiting for a few months?

Double dip recessions are a known risk. I would hope that either the Lib Dems or Tories consider that before deciding on strategy.

Labour wouldn't even consider it. They never gave a ste before! rolleyes

Cars gone dude, looking to get something else in the next week, but from what I read, its worthwhile holding on until a few weeks or months after the election.
