Milton Keynes area M1 traffic?

Anyone give me an idea of what the M1 is like in a morning - from sort of leicester down to Milton Keynes - heading south?

Its one of the worse sections of the M1. I and my colleagues regularly travel down from narbourough in leics to Milton Keynes. Its a stressful journey and can sometimes take over 4 hours if theres been an accident on the M1. The A5 is an option but traffic is as bad on that at peak times.

I do it every morning.

Best advice is do it before 7am. All of it!

Need to be in Leyton Buzzard by 11, from Sheffield.

One of our trucks at work left Houghton Regis (down the road from Leighton Buzzard) at 5.15am this morning to go to Beeston Nottingham and he was back by 11.15am.
The M1 is a sod if there is an accident.
