You'll have to be more descriptive.

If it's the orange one for £10k or so, then it has been discussed a number of times and is NOT 100% Caterham - it's an MK base with numerous Caterham parts added.

Edit: See here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

To be fair to the dealer, in autotrader he'd have *had* to have classified it as something, and a caterham is closest.

It'd have been better if he'd have written "MK Indy" all over the ad though.

Absolutely. You can find genuine Caterhams for £10k but they certainly won't be this new. Mine is probably worth about that but is a 1997 with ~100k miles on it. Doesn't mean this example is a bad car but it isn't a Caterham.

I don't understand why people bother doing that. It's not as if an MK is a bad car in the first place, why dress it up as something it's not? That said, £10k is a lot of money for an MK. Ah, I think I might have just answered my own question...

It is what it is, and what it isn't is a Caterham. I accept that it has to be listed as "something" but it shouldn't be listed as a Caterham, when it isn't.

God, that's confusing. Anyway. I've got my money back on my one way train ticket to Swindon. hehe
