Insurance claim

hi,

Two months ago i reveresed into a bus, both had very minor damage. Exchanged detail and thought nothing more of it. fast forward two months the other party are now in the process claiming, with is fine but i changed my insurance company a month ago.

When should i inform the new company of the claim and subsequent loss of no claim bonus, just now or once the claim has been completed. Do you think the premium will go up alot.

I guess it depends on whether you want valid insurance or a cheap premium.

Yeah it's a good idea to let them know everything asap, you dont want it coming back to haunt you.

Can you claim on a policy once the policy has expired? or is it ok because the event happened whilst the policy was running?

hi,

I have a bus stop across the road from me, two bus where stopped at the bus stop. One moved forward but the other not so much. I have to reverese all the way out because of my wide turning circle.
I reveresed too far out at hit the rear quater panel. Only have a small scuff mark and the bus hardly anything aswell, so i was suprised that they claimed.
