On my 12 year old E36 Beemer 323 in London. last year £250, this year £350.

How do they get away with itmad

No claims, no change in circumstance and no loading for the non fault claim I had last year. Fekin' joke that they even consider it as I did not involve my insurance company at all yet they knew about it. Cost them nothing.

I did try confused.com and Admiral came up with £242 but then added £75 for the non fault mad

fking cocksucking y wks and tossers. My fekin' wages have gone down yet these s get away with nearly a 50% hike in prices.

Ditto. Wifeys Alfa 147 diesel thing. Last year, with one of our daughters on the policy, was £395.00. This year £545.00. Needless to say daughter is no longer on the policy. Highest quote was £2920.00

I'll happy swap insurance quotes with you.

Cheapest i can find at the moment is £957 on a Lupo 1 Litre.

However, Cheapest insurance i can find on a car that will realisticaly meet my needs is £1200 on an old, knackered astra estate.

Oh, and i just checked insurance on my old Meganne. 2 years ago - £880. Now £3000 - Through the same company.

You think that is bad? I'm 24 years old with nearly 3 years driving experience and 3 years NCB on a S2 Elise 111S ... My premium with Admiral is £1.5K, which I thought was fairly reasonable, even though there are younger Elise drivers out there paying a lot less for their insurance.

This June I need to renew my insurance and will have 4 years NCB ... However as I have just moved house from Marlow to High Wycombe, my premium with Admiral has increased by £600 according to Confused! Moneysupermarket states that Admiral will insure me for £2,600!!! eek Where the hell they pulled that number from is anyone's guess!

I'll do some haggling closer to the time, but if it goes up more than my last premium, it'll be a painful blow now that I have a mortgage.

Mine actually went down this year. £249 last year with Elephant, the renewal came in at £235 this year (all mods declared) and I still managed to save another £17 by switching to their sister company Admiral. Heh

The premium on my pet dog went up by 31% though, despite never having claimed on the policy

'94 1.3 Micra, insured with Direct Line last year, was £220 with 22k miles, renewal is £315 (I haven't asked for a requote with fewer miles yet). Tried confusemymeerkat and Hastings Direct want £235ish, which is more sensible.

Because not enough people question it. They tried this with my daughter so she told them to shove it......they then came back with a quote that was the same as last years price.

Think how many people have had to claim since they fell off the road in the snowy and icy weather. Insurance providers will have to cover the costs somehow, unfortunately it's from our wallets. However, I did get a cheaper quote than my renewal price so I was quite lucky. I think turning 25 this year helped a lot.

I personally think its down to excessive car rental scams. Duaghter had a' no fault' 5mph shunt from behind. The car hire costs alone for a Merc B Class thing were over £10000.00! The Alfa that was hit is worth about £7000.00...Very strange

Hehe! hehe My parents live in Marlow, but I could only afford a place in High Wycombe ... It's the nicer part of Wycombe, but that probably doesn't help my cause!

Assumimg you want to carry on driving you can only really tell them to shove it IF you have found a better price. My renewal was £100 more than last year, i tried just about every insurer out there and this turned out to be cheap! I still phoned them & moaned & got £45 off. Better than nothing.

It makes business sense for them to do it when you think about how many people just renew their policy each year. My dad has had an auto renewing policy with tesco for probably the last 8 years, it never goes up or down buy huge amounts unless he is adding points so he doesnt think its worth the hassel of searching around do save £10-50. But then he only pays about £300 to insure his disco 3.

Your policy sounds pretty cheap considering you live in london.

Compensation claims = pushes the price up of insurance.

Money has to come from somewhere.

Therefore the insurance companies will try to get as much out of you as possible before dropping the price.

Admiral tried it on with a £670 renewal on a previous £350 policy with no changes. Went down to 295 with full breakdown after a bit of messing around. Some morons will just pay the £670 however.

Oh FFS give over. I'm nearly 32, have driven for nearly 15 years, no points and paid £1660 for a 10 month policy with a £750 excess on a 10 year old car. You might as well get the vaseline out before you get quotes here in Northern Ireland.

OK, it's an M5 and I have 2 outstanding claims to be resolved but still...
