I'm not sure what you mean. You just had your fifth BMW? You eat them?

Try a little punctuation and proper sentences rather than just a bunch of words. I apologise, I'm really trying not to sound patronising...

I cant see how it is affecting cars over here, its a light dusting nothing more. Certainly not enough to start eating into the paint

Grammar nazism can wait.

He quite clearly works for a car polishing company or some form of garage. He's had a C63 AMG in and five BMWs with ash in the paintwork, and wonders if BMWs are more susceptible because they have softer lacquer.

The only thing on my car has been a shedload of pollen. Lots about this year.

I had a hard chunk of molten ash/rock lying on the boot of my Z4 yesterday. There was an impact mark where it struck and had crumbled on slightly on impact

I have the chunk about the size of a pee. Will get a pic up later.

Also the light dusting on my wifes car seems very abrasive. be careful cleaning this stuf off.

Well it's probably a pumice type of ash if volcanic so I would say it's quite abrasive, your best bet is hosing off before hand washing.

As for those half moon shapes in the paint, could the ash be acidic and eat into the lacquer, in a similar way to bird plop, after being activated when mixed with the rain we've had recently?

Good grief! 45 Months as a member and you still can't find the comma or shift keys on your keyboard. You quite obviously don't come here often.

Please try harder, I'm sure you'll find the responses more amicable.

Yeah - we have found the same thing here - BMW has this issue the worst on our drive. Then Minis (2). There isn't much on the Porsche and the Bentley (and oddly enough Mk1 Mazda MX5!) were absolutely fine - no issues at all!

Those are the only cars left outside at the moment...

What is the solution?!

Cheers

Is this really necessary? Get a life or learn to read between the lines. I think your attitude stinks.
