I'd say either the Mini or the veedub camper. They're two of the only cars with 'iconicness' outside of the motoring world. ergo they're the most iconic!

golf gti, IB 911 and now quattro are obviously "80s" icons but i don't think they carry the same weight (if you'll excuse the pun) as a camper.
