Just been out for lunch with one of the lads from the office. Just started working with him. Seems like a nice guy. Waiting at a fast, busy, slippery rounabout and he went for it. Pulled out and then realised he wasn't going to be able to get round so headed for the first exit. This would have been fine. Instead, at the last second he swerved to go around the roundabout as planned. I see the rear window fill up with Mercedes grill approaching fast. Realised that was probably it and shut my eyes.

Almighty screech of tires but no bang. Somehow, by what I assume was divine intervention, we weren't struck. The Mercedes was left standing sideways as we drove off. I was silenced while he was ranting about "he didn't even indicate". The lad was obviously quite shaken so I didn't disagree, even through he was 100% in the wrong. Tried to change the subject to take his mind off it but he was a jibbering wreck.

Anyway, back to the office and to be honest, I've never been so glad to be at work! This type of moment calls for a stiff drink as I feel a bit on edge.

Just thought I needed to ramble a little...

3/10 - No where near enough swearing, cursing or blood shed..

We have a lady in the office who joined about 6months ago.. she still scares the st out of everyone when she tries to reverse out of the carpark - she cannot drive for love nor money!

Not quiet as bad as this, but hey

There wasn't an accident. Just a very near miss.

I think that often people skim read new posts for key words then jump to a conclusion to score 'caught you out' points among the regulars. Shame.

Making mistakes is one thing (and you are always lucky if you get away with them) but not to own up to his own error is pathetic, shaken up or not.
Everybody knows not to assume esp at a roundabout re: indicators! People never seem to know how to use them properly on a roundabout even when they do use them so unfortunately they should never be trusted.

Sums the situation up.
