Transferable number plates

[ferrisbueller]

Simple question. How can I tell whether a plate on a car is transferable to another car? Are there any rules or restrictions on transfers other than valid MOT/Tax etc?

They should all be transferrable unless the V5 says otherwise.

Your not allowed to transfer Q plates but as far as I know you can transfer any of the other plates about.

Silly question then....whereabouts on the V5 does it say? Is it obvious?
