Whatever happended to the thread on here about the bloke who put in the winning bid on eBay for a Merc up in Glasgow but the seller wouldn't send proof of the service history? It was only 2-3 months ago, seller was going to take the buyer to court or something for refusing to pay for the car.

I seem to remember the thread MIGHT have mentioned the guy in the link below. I am not 100% sure though.

Mods - if the original thread WAS deleted and this thread is therefore a bit naughty (I did do a search) then please feel free to delete and accept my apologies.

Fair comment. Sounds like it should be a good read when it comes back, though.

Yes it is still ongoing and I promise to give a full account on here after the court case. The courts have moved the hearing to my local court and i suggest this will not be for a month at least, I can tell you that the Dentist has contacted by email offering to drop the case for the discount price of £1800. Lol. Odd bloke.

THank you to the op for the discretion shown too.

I will do that Tonker and yes I am 99% sure that the car was either not sold or sold to a "mate" but prooving that is nigh on impossible i think.

"Following his restoration to the register he set up the Dental Surgery Ltd in Glasgow, before opening branches in Stirling and Falkirk.
The practice now has 20,000 NHS patients and employs 10 dentists."

Assuming he can still own and run these even if struck off?

Funny how these things have a habit of cropping up when you least expect it, but I was browsing through today's business in the Court of Session in Edinburgh for something else (don't ask!) here:

http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/rolls/supreme/lists/r...

When I came across our friend's name right near the very bottom:

Summar Roll

XA65/10 Arfan Zia Dad for leave to appeal against a decision of the General Medical Council Professional Conduct Committee

bto - Anderson Strathern LLP

Maybe a pending appeal is why he still seems to be in business?
