Hello all,

Ive just seen and taken a photo a ferrari dino. However a couple of things struck me, the indicators seem to be in the wrong place, and when doing a reg search for it it comes back as a VW beetle.

Rather than the indicators being where they are in this photo, they are round and at the outside edges of the grill. I'm no ferrai expert, is this a normal trait of a later or earlier edition..? I just can't seem to find any photo's on google which looked like this. Kit?

If it was VW Beetle based then it is most likley to have been a R W Kitcars Karma

Indicators were the same for all UK market cars, they did however differ for US cars smile

Compared to the photo in that link the car I saw looked considerably more authentic, much sharper lines etc. The only thing that looks at all different is the indicators. I really want to upload the photo, but my phone is being a censored. I'll keep trying.

In which case it's more than likely a kit car and not a Dino as even the early 206's have the same design smile

Right, i got the photo. If it is a kit, i think it really looks great. Infact i'd say i prefer the layout of the indicators here rather than on the original.

This is a photo of the karma dino, looks very different IMO? Unless they have a few different shapes, but I can't find one.

Kit cars are frequently personalised or "improved" by their builders.

The big differences are that the blue car doesnt have cut outs for the indicators, has larger mirrors and replica Dino bumpers, all fairly easy things to do.

The bits they cant change are the low roofline, front spoiler and the bump out just aft of the door windows (which IIRC formed the rear part of the doors)

ETA, a quick google for karma turned up this site http://www.quadconversions.com/karma/karma_kitcar....

Simple vehicle check shows the car as: SDX 919J
KARMA DINO 246 GT

So yep, it's a Karma kit.

The windscreen wipers aren't right on the blue one. On a real one they cross over each other. That's definitely a kit car.
