Watching Scrapheap challenge and they're making wheelie cars, It got me thinking about about robin reliants as they're using one.. What do you reckon, robin with wheelie bar and a nice pokey engine In the back for the 1/4 mile haha? If you think I'm just being mad, what would you go for If you were tryna build a car for the strip on a budget?

I don't know - classic mini perhaps? Probably wheelbase too short...

Something like a Mini with a Hayabuse lump would be fun!

As much as I'd love to be able to afford a build like this, I can't.. Still I can dream

Something Jap with a ridiculous turbo slapped on. Of course, if you cut too many corners it may only do the 1/4 mile once biggrin

An old Mustang/Camaro would do the job, Americans have been using them for years.

i would start with a mr2 turbo, a stock one with just a boost increase will run high 12s, you could always put this engine in a mk1 mr2 for a more light weight version and even faster times.

Reliant Robin FFS. Probably wasting my time as English appears to be your second language. wink

biggest strongest engine you can find and then turbo it through the roof.

Most americans V8's are up to the job, but i you want japanese then go for a supra. The block can take up to 1500hp

Engine power's not the biggest problem, especially if you start with an American V8. Getting the power onto the road is a tougher challenge. Auto transmissions work well on the strip.

Does anyone drive a Focus Ford or a Corsa Vauxhall, I wonder ?

Irritates me too.

The other one is 'looser' instead of 'loser' rolleyes.
