I went tank driving (very good fun if you haven't been, if a little pricey) today and while I was wandering around the workshops, I came across this:

The bloke who owns it (very nice chap) says he only uses it for a few months every year but hasn't touched it for a year and a half - figures by the tax running out in 2008. Kinda feel quite sad for the car, looking so forlorn in the corner while dozens of tanks dating back from 1944 rumble in and out the workshop in front of it.

Still, it's on the MID as an Aston Matin so I guess it's not completely lost forever.

I wouldn't worry too much - it doesn't look as if it's on its last legs - just looks a bit dusty.

I saw the top of that pic and expected it to be the one with the prints of an arse and a pair of hands in the dust hehe

Any photos of the Limo tank? - I assume this was near Banbury?

No offence, but why have you checked this on the MID? It's not your car, your just some random punter wandering around his workshop, then checking his car out on MID?

Just seems a bit odd to me, not to mention against the law. Strange.

tbh the askmid site is on very shaky grounds with its disclaimers, hardly water tight and not enough in place to prevent so called illegal searches. They know full well that is the case and I would seriously doubt anyone would ever be prosecuted for doing such searches.

Get a life mate, smile the story is about an Aston "Matin" and not about your moral objections to the OP checking a database. pmsl

Idle curiosity fills this. I was interested in the wellbeing of a classic petrolhead car.
And I did not use AskMID for the query - rather, I used the fully legal MoneySupermarket facility whereby it checks your reg against the MID freely.

Plenty on here have used it to check on their old motors or people who they've had a prang with. Illegal but the site doesn't really have any safeguards- just saying don't do it isn't really enough.
