I'm looking to change my car for a cheaper one as I need the cash for a house move.

Silly question.... will dealers PX a car more expensive than the one you're buying?

Thanks!

Yes they will but don't expect a brilliant offer.

You could try We Buy Any Car?

As above, don't expect a good offer, unless your car happens to be the exact thing they are looking for. A private sale would be your "Best Bet" to get the most cash, but obviously that comes with the bonus of hassle......

WBAC will offer less than any dealer IME, and then try to screw you when they turn up for collection by knocking chunks off their already offensive price for every tiny mark they can find - and they look hard.

I did with my leon. Px'd to a focus diesel that someone had traded in. Worked in their favour as they got a newer seat for their seat garage. I got an economical car and a new bathroom. (big mistake frown )
